Elsie Rachel Marshall Ouzts, 74, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015, at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Burd officiating. Interment will be in Delta Heights Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Ouzts was born in Cleveland, MS on December 18, 1940, to Frank Marshall, Jr. and Elsie Warren Marshall. On November 5, 1961, she married Jesse Donald Ouzts. She was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church, and worked as a bookkeeper at Noel Industries until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking especially when she was working on her Sunday morning breakfast. She loved her family and her two dachshund puppies, Mattie and Lily dearly; and mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her grandson, David.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Marshall, Jr. and Elsie Gill; husband, Jesse Donald Ouzts; and son, David Keith Ouzts.
Mrs. Ouzts is survived by her daughter, Sallye Ouzts Ratliff (Bill) of Cleveland; grandson, David O'Neal Mullen of Cleveland; sister, Frankye Marshall Walker (Jim) of Newark, AR; brother, Frank Marshall of Newark, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.
