Elwanda Haney was born March 19, 1939 to Alva Jerome Thompson and Mary Elizabeth Thompson in McCrory, AR. Elwanda married James E Haney on July 19, 1958. A Visitation honoring Mrs. Elwanda will be held Monday, December 14, 2020 at Ray Funeral Home from 10:00-10:45 a.m. with a Graveside service following at 11:00 a.m. at Delta Heights Memorial Garden Cemetery. Bro. Sherwyn Nabors will be officiating.
She is preceded by her parents, Alva Jerome and Mary Elizabeth Thompson; brother, Charles Thompson. Elwanda is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, James Haney; sons, Kirk Haney of Grenada, MS and Mike Haney of Bon Secour, AL; daughter, Dana Haney of Foley, AL; grandchildren, Taylor Haney, Alex Haney, Sarah Haney, Peyton Haney, Jason Bryant, Jessica Bryant, Christy Nichols, Dylan Nichols, and Hunter Jeffords; brothers, Floyd Thompson of Leland, MS, David Thompson of Hardy, AR and Chris Thompson of Bon Secour, AL; sister, Ann Thompson Raheem of Cookstown, NJ.
