Emmett Roland Ray

Mr. Emmett Roland Ray, 83, of Merigold, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015, at Delta Regional Medical Center. Mr. Ray was born in Tutwiler, MS on March 22, 1931, to Emmett Ray and Nora Lucille Monroe Ray. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and retired from the Navy after many years of service. He is survived by his three sons, John C. Ray (Mona) of Texas, Romie C. Ray of Doddsville, and Dan C. Ray of Doddsville; grandchildren, John Matthew Ray (Melissa) of Texas, Stuart Roland Ray of Texas, and Chelsea Ray Smith (Hunter) of Texas; great-grandchildren, Becca and Seth Ray of Texas; and brother, Bobby Ray (Rachel) of North Carolina.
