Etalo Mei

Mr. Etalo Mei, 85, of Shaw, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at his home. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw with the Mass Celebration Immediately following beginning at 10:30 a.m with Father Tom Mullally. Interment will be in North Cleveland Cemetery.
Mr. Mei was born in Shaw on November 24, 1924 to Giuseppe Mei and Rosa Romanini Mei. He served his country in the Army Air Force. After returning from serving his country he moved to Michigan and worked with his brother Lee at Boats and Motors. He later was employed at White & White Hot Water Heaters for 35 years. After his retirement he moved back to Shaw and enjoyed restoring old bicycles and lawn mowers. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw and the American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Giuseppe Mei and Rosa Romanini Mei; Brothers, Louis Mei, Lee Mei, Gento Mei, and Gero Mei; and sisters, Bianchina Rocconi, and Zenia Grazosi.
Mr. Mei is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Jimmy Mei, the last living Mei.
Memorials may be made to St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw.
