Florence McDaniel Gainspoletti

Mrs. Florence McDaniel Gainspoletti, 80, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church with Father Kent Bowlds officiating. Interment will follow in Shaw Cemetery. Mrs. Gainspoletti was born in Sunflower County, MS on September 25, 1934, to Connie Franklin McDaniel and Maggie Jewel Hood. She attended Moorhead High School. On June 15, 1962, she married Christmas "Chris" Gainspoletti in Shaw, MS. She was an employee at Baxter Laboratory in the Traveno Lab until her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Bolivar Medical Auxiliary. She attended St. Francis of Assisi and was active in the Altar Society, Liturgy, Choir, and she visited the elderly often and did communion for them. She then became a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church and served as dedicated member. She loved to travel, enjoyed life, and laughed often. She is preceded in death by her parents, Connie McDaniel and Jewel McDaniel; husband, Chris Gainspoletti; grandson, Shane Holbrook; sisters, Dorothy Holbrook and Martha Tyson; and brothers, Ronnie McDaniel and Larry McDaniel. Mrs. Gainspoletti is survived by her sons, Michael Holbrook (Vicki) of Booneville and Michael Gainspoletti (Marsha) of Sturgis, MS; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Connie Ruth Ray of Hernando, MS, Lottie Jewel Ruth (Wayne) of Sturgis, MS, and Linda F. Smith (Billy) of Cleveland, MS; brothers, Henry McDaniel (Patricia) of Jackson, TN and Robert McDaniel (Jean) of Cleveland, MS; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. In memory of Mrs. Gainspoletti, donations may be made to Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church.
