Florencio Ybarra, 62, of Merigold passed away July 22, 2021. A Rosary will be held Monday, July 26, 2021, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland, MS. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland, MS followed by interment at Delta Heights Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Florencio was born February 4, 1959, in San Felipe, GTO Mexico. Florencio was the oldest of 10 siblings. He came to the United States to work and better his family. Florencio worked at Allendale Planting in Shelby, MS. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shelby, MS. He met Mary in 1981 and they married in December of 1982. They were married for 38 years. They had two wonderful children, Luis Ybarra and Laura Ybarra (deceased). They moved to Merigold, MS in 1995 and he started working for K&D (grain bin systems) now Valley View Agri. He worked for the grain bin systems for 26 years. Florencio was a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church. Florencio was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Eucharistic minister, and a delegate of OLV Hispanic Community. He was also a member of the OLV Pastoral Council. He loved traveling to spend time with his grandchildren. He never missed a grandparent's day at Brookhaven Academy. He'd come home from work to do what needed to be done outside. Without any hesitation, he would help anyone. Florencio would take his dog (Guerra) for afternoon walks.
Florencio, you will always remain in our hearts.
He is predeceased by his mother, Berta Ibarra Silva; and daughter, Laura Yolanda Ybarra. Florencio is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mary Ybarra; son, Luis Ybarra (Natalie) of Brookhaven, MS; grandchildren, Finley Ybarra (9), Ellie Brooke Ybarra (7), and Spencer Ybarra (3); siblings, Ignacio Ibarra (Cleotilde) of El Paso, TX, Juanita Santa Cruz (Miguel) of GTO, Mexico, Jose Luis Ibarra (Hilgria) of Houston, TX, Francisco Ibarra (Laura) of San Juan, TX, Jose Ibarra (Lucy) of Conroe, TX, Jose Regulo Ibarra (Lisa) of Conroe, TX, Carmen Rodriguez (Jose) of Killeen, TX, Berti Podron (Juan) of Houston, TX, Milagros Ibarra of GTO, Mexico, and Jose Abdon Ibarra (America) of GTO, Mexico; along with a host of nephews and nieces.
