Frank Allegrezza, Jr. 79, of Shaw, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Saint Francis of Assisi with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at St. Francis of Assisi. Interment will follow at Shaw City Cemetery.
Mr. Frank was born June 26, 1932, to Frank Allegrezza,Sr. and Kate Seymour Allegrezza. He married Sara Walker Allegrezza on August 15, 1992 in Southaven, MS. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw and was on the finance committee. He was the president of the cemetery for many years and was a member of the Lions Club as well as the American Legion. Mr. Allegrezza was in sales with Life of Georia Insurance for 35 years and retired. He honorably served our country in the Air Force during the Korean War, he will be laid to rest with honors. He loved outdoors, yard land scaping, playing dominos and enjoyed time with his friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Allegrezza, Sr; mother, Kate Allegrezza; son, Logan Allegrezza; and wife, Rose Marie Allegrezza.
Mr. Allegrezza is survived by his wife, Sara Allegrezza of Shaw, MS; daughter, Pam Allegrezza of Southaven, MS; Daryl Allegrezza of Brandon, MS; sister, Sammie Lane Boatwright of Gadson, Alabama; step-daughter, Nancy Kemper Cotner (Don) of Southaven, MS; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Pete Michell, Charles Michell, Alex Allegrezza, Michael Ferretti, Frank Palmer, and Don Cotner. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Walters, Mack Grimmett, Charles Ingram, Sam Byrd, Ralph Smith, Murry Riddle, Raymond Sellers, and Shaw Lion Club Members.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw, MS.
