Gary Leon Headrick

Mr. Gary Leon Headrick, 75, of Cleveland, MS went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2022.  Gary was formerly of Cumming, GA,  a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday,  June 25, 2022 at the Cumming Church of Christ, 2055 Pilgrim Road, Cumming, GA  30040.   

Gary was born December 8, 1946, in Des Moines, IA to Johnnie Lee and Lela Rosemary (McClaran) Headrick.  He married Bonnie Jean McGukin on December 16, 1966.  Gary was a Church of Christ minister for over 23 years and a former Southeastern School of Evangelism instructor.   He was also a junior high school science teacher.  Gary enjoyed operating ham radios, teaching students, visiting with friends, and he was an animal lover.  Most importantly, he loved his family dearly. 

He is predeceased in death by his parents Johnnie and Rosemary Headrick; loving wife Bonnie Jean McGukin Headrick; son Nathan L. Headrick; daughter Michelle Headrick Gazzuolo; and mother-in-law Lou McGukin.

Gary is survived by his grandchildren Sarah “Katie” Blume of Jacksonville, FL, and Aaron “Tank” Gazzuolo (fiancé Melody Humphrey) of Dawsonville, GA; sister Ann Headrick Giger (Dennis) of Cleveland, MS; nephews Chris Giger (Lisa) of Cleveland, MS and Daniel Giger (Elizabeth) of Bloomington, IL; nieces Ada Dritsas (George) of Roswell, GA and Anna Hamilton (Gray) of Nashville, TN; father-in-law Olin McGukin, of Breman, GA; brother-n-law David McGukin (Ardie) of Bremen, GA; along with a host of great nephews and nieces.
