Gary Joe Clark, Jr.

Mr. Gary Joe Clark, Jr., 57, of Shaw, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home with Father Kent Bowlds officiating.
Mr. Clark was born in Shaw, MS on November 26, 1957, to Gary Joe Clark, Sr. and Dolly Allegrezza Clark. He started coaching in the 1970's and coached at Bayou Academy and Heritage Academy for many years. He dearly loved and enjoyed his job, and his students impacted his life as much as he impacted theirs.
He was a huge Mississippi State Bulldogs fan, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who endearingly called him "Big Daddy".
He is preceded in death by his father, Gary Joe Clark, Sr. and his daughter, Jennifer Shelby Clark.
Mr. Clark is survived by his mother, Dolly Allegrezza Clark of Shaw; daughter, Allyn Clark Allen (Chris) of Clinton; son, Alex Shaw Clark (Patty) of Jackson; grandchildren, Shelby Allen, Sydney Allen, Davis Hammond, and Walt Hammond; sister, Debra Clark Short of Shaw; brother, Willie Earl Clark of Shaw; and nieces, Sarah Short Atkinson of Center, AL and Callie Short Reed of Cleveland. Honorary Pallbearers will include FE Allegrezza, Tommy Gunn, Lee Hazelwood, Clint Turman, Greg Sykes, Bruce Allsup, Will Reed, Caleb Reed, Ben Stallings.
