Geraldine Weber Howarth, 88, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Walter B. Crook Nursing Home in Ruleville, MS. Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Frank Pevey officiating Interment will be at Delta Heights Cemetery.
Geraldine was born in Itta Bena, MS on February 13, 1928 to the late W.G. Weber and Naomi Williams Weber. She married Walter H. "Dub" Howarth in Pace and they were married for 64 years.
She was a homemaker and a supporter of her husband in his endeavors of farming and salvage selling. They enjoyed going to Ripley and selling their wares. She was a member of Skene Baptist Church and past member of the Home Demonstration Club, Evening Lions Club and served as Treasurer of the Lioness Club.
She is preceded by parents, W.G. Weber and Naomi Williams Weber; husband, Walter H. "Dub" Howarth; sister, Peggy Weber Moore. Survivors include sons, Walter Gerald Howarth (Joie) of Skene, MS and Drue William Howarth of Hernando, MS; grandchildren, Natalie and Alex Howarth of Hernando, MS and Brittni Howarth of Madison, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
