Grace Bologna Venuti

Shaw's beloved ‘Aunt Grace', Grace Bologna Venuti, died peacefully at Providence Assisted Living in Cleveland on Saturday, October 17, 2015, having just celebrated her 98th birthday. A pillar of her lifelong residence of Shaw, and a prominent congregant of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Mrs. Venuti was preceded in death by her Husband, Charlie Venuti; Parents, Sam and Mary Bologna; Siblings Nino Bologna, Letizia Bologna Adams, and Rosa Bologna Montesi. She is survived by her Daughter, Charlie Ann Hayes (Robert); grandson, Robert Hayes, Jr.; granddaughter, Mary Hayes Larson (Mike); great-granddaughter, Stephanie Grace Hayes; and many nieces, nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews and Great-great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Venuti loved the church she attended throughout her life, her small Delta community, and above all, her God. ‘Aunt Grace' was loved in return. Her lilting laughter, kindness and conviction will be forever missed by those she so dearly loved, and who, in turn, so dearly loved her. The family thanks the communities of Shaw, Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Magnolia Home Care, Grace Hospice, and Providence Assisted Living for their loving care and support. Visitation will be 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw. A rosary will begin at 6:30 p.m. immediately following the visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Shaw.
