Grady Easom

Grady Earl Easom, 84, of Cleveland, passed away February 20, 2014. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home with Clarence Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Linn Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Easom was born May 11, 1929, to William Arnold Easom and Fannie Pearl Brown. He married Ruth Wright Short Easom on April 2, 1990, in Shaw, MS. He was a mail carrier and later he proudly served in the US Air force for 28 years as an electronic aviator. He was a member of the Exchange Club in Bossier City, LA and was very active in Boy Scouts and PeeWee football. He enjoyed beekeeping, gardening, and fishing and was an avid pecan grower.
He preceded in death by his parents, William Arnold Easom and Fannie Pearl Brown Easom; son Grady Earl Easom Jr; 5 brothers, Euel Easom, William Arnold Easom Jr, Douglas Easom, Gavin Easom, William "Bill" Easom.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Easom of Cleveland; daughters, Virginia Anderson (Tommy) of Houston, TX, Dixie Carpenter (Mike) of Carrollton, MS, Eue Partin (Chuck) of Bossier City, LA; Sister, Jenice Grace Lamberson of Clinton, MS; 4 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gordon Ditto, Kyle Adams, John Wright, Timmy Wright, Jerry Short, and David Short.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Linn Methodist Cemetery Fund or The Alzheimer's Foundation.
