Hazel A. Vanlandingham, 90, of Hamilton, Mississippi, formerly of Rosedale, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2010 at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Higdon Herrington officiating. Burial will follow in Doty Springs Cemetery in Kosciusko, Mississippi with Rev. Terry Edwards officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Ray Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vanlandingham was born on March 12, 1920 in Kosciusko, MS to George Porter Hodge and Mary Lillian Ray Hodge. She married Charlie Jackson Vanlandingham. She was employed at Baxter Laboratories until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Jackson Vanlandingham; and two grandchildren, Greg Savage and Chase Vanlandingham; and one great grandchild, Adam West Savage.
Survivors include her son, Lenwood C. Vanlandingham of Hamilton; a daughter, Maxine V. Garrett of Hamilton; a brother, George Lamar Hodge of Inverness; and six sisters, Alice Williams of Wichita Falls, Texas, Marie Pilcher and Dorothy Nell Hollis, both of Meridian, Neva Francis Dunn of Chatworth, Georgia, and Flora Love Daigle and Barbara Ann Weatheby, both of Moss Point, MS; 3 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Steed, Sammie Fowler, Richie Vanlandingham, Bradley Vanlandingham, Madison Vanlandingham and Steven Vanlandingham.
Honorary pallbearers are Bailey Vanlandingham, Josh Vanlandingham and
Gage Vanlandingham.
