Herbert Dell Williams

Mrs. Herbert Dell Williams, 90, of Merigold, MS passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Delta Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Cleveland, MS. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life service officiated by Pastor Greg Chamblee following immediately after at Ray Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at North Cleveland Cemetery.
Mrs. Herbert Dell Williams was born on December 26, 1928 to Herbert and Idell Henderson in Cleveland, MS. She married Ira Leon Williams on June 1, 1947. Along with being a loving mother, hard-working farm wife, she also owned and operated her own small country beauty shop, and she once served as an administrative assistant at Drew United Methodist Church. One of her favorite roles was "feeding the fish" with her dog, Honey.
Mrs. Herbert Dell Williams is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Ira Leon Williams and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert A. Henderson, her sister, Frances Fern Crippen, and her brother, Travis Henderson.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna R. Weeks (Ted) of Madison, MS, son, Keith D. Williams (Verdie Cile) of Laurelville, OH, sisters; Patricia Goodman of Cleveland, TN, grandchildren; Shannon Weeks, Jason Weeks, Daron "Bo" Weeks, Jarrod Williams, eight great- grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cleveland Church of God.
