Mr. Howard William "Billy" Gordon, Jr., 67, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, at The Veteran's Hospital in Kosciusko. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 Monday, August 3, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home. Memorial Services will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home.
Mr. Gordon was born in Bolivar County on September 15, 1947, to Howard William Gordon, Sr. and Margie Morgan Gordon. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. He loved to fly and his love of flight was demonstrated through his 35 years as an Ag pilot. He retired in 2008. On June 8, 2009, he married Billie Joe Tackett in Lake Village, AR. He enjoyed yard work, carpentry work, and was also an animal lover.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard William Gordon, Sr. and Margie Morgan Gordon. Mr. Gordon is survived by his wife, Billie Gordon of Cleveland; son, Beau Gordon (Jessica) of Merigold; daughters, Morgan Gordon and Paige Gordon both of Cleveland; grandchildren, Will Gordon of Merigold, Sarah Reese Boyles of Cleveland, and Charlie Gordon of Cleveland; sister, Brenda Bennett (James) of Jackson; nephew, Dr. Gray Bennett of Jackson; and niece, Melanie Devlin of Texas. In memory of Mr. Gordon, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
