James Edward Hagan, 90, of Drew, MS passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. A visitation for immediate family will be held at Ray Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2021. A service will be held in the Chapel at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS at 10:00 AM on Saturday with Rev. Dave Schauer officiating. A private family burial service will follow in the Drew Cemetery under the direction of Ray Funeral Home. The family asks that you wear a mask and maintain social distancing. James was born in October 1930, to S. L. Hagan, Sr and Ruth Templeton Hagan in Carrollton, MS where he spent much of his early childhood. He later lived near Rome, MS prior to joining the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Keesler AFB for 4 years during the Korean War, in Biloxi, MS. Following his discharge from the Air Force, he started a Radio and Television repair business that continued for many years in Drew, MS. Subsequently, he worked at Baxter Laboratories and Duofast as Industrial Electrical Engineer. In 1952, he married Annalee Partridge where they resided in Biloxi, MS, followed by establishing their life-long home in Drew, MS with their two sons. He was a faithful member of Sunflower Church of the Nazarene until relocating to Murfreesboro, TN, along with devoted wife, Annalee, to share their most recent years with their son and daughter-in-law, David and Clara Hagan. He is preceded in death by his parents, S. L. Hagan, Sr and Ruth Templeton Hagan, siblings Jesse Lee Hagan and S. L. Hagan, Jr. James was preceded in death by his wife, Annalee, and is survived by his sons, David Hagan, Sr (and wife, Clara) of Murfreesboro, TN and John Lee Hagan (and wife, Donna), grandchildren, Dave Hagan, II (and wife, Jennifer) of Greenville, SC and Jenny Sullivan (and husband, Courtney) of Murfreesboro, TN and Conner Hagan of Geneva, Switzerland; and great-grandchildren, Blake Hagan, Cade Hagan, Emily Weathersby; along with, numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dave Hagan, II, Ronnie Yarborough, Mark Yarborough, Cole Yarborough, Scott Heffner and Courtney Sullivan. The family wishes donations to be made to First Church of the Nazarene at PO Box 1616 in Cleveland, MS 38732.
