Jean Eubanks

Betty Jean Boyles Eubanks, 84, of Ruleville, MS went to be with the Lord Friday, December 9, 2022.  Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Ruleville Baptist Church in Ruleville, MS.  Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m.  Interment will be held at Lehrton Cemetery.

Jean was born January 29, 1938, in Greenwood, MS to Emmett and Stella Boyles Sr.  She grew up and graduated from Ruleville High School.  Jean married Woodard Eubanks December 26, 1958, in Ruleville, MS. They were married for 63 years.  Jean attended MSCW where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education and home economics.  She retired from North Sunflower Academy where she taught for 20 years.  Jean enjoyed playing Bridge.  She taught Sunday School and Children’s Church at Ruleville Baptist Church where she was also in the Handbell choir.  She was a member of the church for 60 years. 

She is predeceased by her parents, Emmett and Stella Boyles Sr; sisters, Annie Mae Petrie and Earlene Jet; brother, Emmitt George Boyles Jr.

Jean is survived by her loving husband Woodard Eubanks; children, DeDe Eubanks of Lucedale, MS, Maury Eubanks (Pam) of Ruleville, MS, and Scott Eubanks (Susie) of Ruleville, MS; sister Billie “Aunt B” Curbow of Madison, MS; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
