Jerry Gully

Jerry Gully, 80, of Cleveland, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, in Cleveland, MS. Visitation hours will be from 11:00-12:00P.M, April 18, 2015 at Ray Funeral Home . The celebration of life services will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 18 at Ray Funeral Home, 206 Bishop Rd, Cleveland, MS with Rev. Robert Haney officiating the celebration of life services. Burial will be in Indianola Memorial Garden Cemetery in Indianola, MS on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Mr. Gully was born September 19, 1934 in Neshoba, MS. He is the son of the late James L Gully and the late Clarkie (Stokes) Gully. He married Jeanette Green. He served in the United States Armed Forces and was Honorably Discharged after one tour. He was the valedictorian of his High School class. Jerry attended East Central Junior College in Decatur, MS with Honors. He also attended MS. State University before joining the United States Army and serving one tour before being Honorably Discharged from the service. Jerry Lived in Indianola from 1980 until 2002. Where he moved to Cleveland in February of 2003.He was employed by Broadway Linen Company as a Driver for many years until retiring. Jerry was loving, charismatic man that would do anything in the world to help anyone. He loved his family and spending time with friends. He was preceded by his parents Mr & Mrs. Gully wife Jeanette Green, sister, Marcia Paton, Sister, Brenda Sue Gully.He is survived by Two daughters, Linda Carson of Perkitson, MS, and Frances Hopper of Minter City, MS; two sons, Mitchell Cabaniss of Perkitson, MS and Paul Jones of Drew, MS; one sister, Reba McCale of Flordia; two brothers, Leonard Gully of Union, MS amd Samuel Gully of North Carolina;1 Special Niece / Care Giver, Carolyn Glass; 9 Grandchildren, Paul Edward Jones, Adam Dill, Jennifer Jackson, Heather Jones, Candice Hopper, Johnny Dill, Michelle Schaffer, Cynthia Jackson, and Mitchell Cabinass Jr.; 16 Great Grandchildren ;and 5 Great Great Grandchilren. Pallbearers will be Wade Glass, Thomas Glass, John Carver, Christopher Hull , Chris Sellars, Josh Yoho , and Josh McCaffrey.
