James “Jimmy” Charles Pambianchi
We announce the passing of our brother James (Jimmy) Charles Pambianchi in December 2024 at the age of 76. Born on March 2, 1948, in Cleveland, Mississippi, he attended Cleveland High School (Class of ‘66) and Delta State University.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 03, 2025 at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland, MS, followed by the funeral mass at 12:00 pm.
Jimmy had a love of animals and nature, a carefree spirit, and was a daily cyclist in Cleveland. He was extremely creative and passionate about poetry, art, & music (greatly influenced by James Brown, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, & The Rolling Stones) and was a beloved member and lead vocalist of the Cleveland band The Reets—traveling from Memphis to New Orleans and throughout Mississippi covering 200+ songs. Jimmy had a routine to his days, and he made many friends along the way—both human and animals alike. He has walked and ridden thousands of miles in the city of Cleveland, getting to know every little detail of the sidewalks, the curve of the roads, and the beautiful Delta landscapes.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandparents Pasquale and Ersilia Fioranelli & Anna and Louis Pambianchi; parents Cesira “Cherrie” Fioranelli Pambianchi and Gino “Jim” Pambianchi; and sister, Peggi Pambianchi Harris (Bob).
He is survived by his brothers Steve (Debbie) of Brandon and Louis (Sue Allen) of Memphis; son Carlo; nephews Dustin Pambianchi (Lee) and Gino Pambianchi; nieces Gina Rivera-Pambianchi (Jesse) and Amber Rabo (Luis); great nieces and nephews Blaine, Catherine, Litton, Garner, Gemma, & Blaise; and his beloved dog J.C. (newly named).
In lieu of flowers, please donate to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Cleveland-Bolivar County Animal Shelter, or charity of your choice.
