Joan Sims Rizzo

Mrs. Joan Sims Rizzo, 77, of Cleveland, MS passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at Our Lady of The Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. Visitation will be 2:00-3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Mass services immediately following beginning at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be in New Cleveland Cemetery.
Mrs. Rizzo was born June 26, 1936 in Skene, MS to C.C Sims and Ann (Annie Mae) McMurry Sims Foster. She married Tony Rizzo Jr. on December 19, 1951.
She is preceded in death by her parents, C.C. Sims and Ann (Annie Mae) McMurry Sims Foster; husband, Tony Rizzo Jr.; and a sister, Audrey Elaine Millican.
She is survived by her son, Mark Rizzo; daughters, Shelia Rizzo Moore (Raymond), and Antonette Rizzo Summerford (Greg); grandchildren, Brandy Beck (Heath), Anthony Rizzo, Mindy Kramer (Shawn), and Jennifer Schmolke (Brandt); great-grandchildren, Madi Cole Beck, Myla Wynn Beck, Alyssa Skye Rizzo, and Addison Faith Kramer; sister, Bettie Sims Hayes; half sister, Annette Collier (Bill) of Texas; and half brother, Gary Sims (Neysa) of Texas.
Pallbearers will be Paul Rizzo, Phil Rizzo, Don Mixon, Terry Roconni, John Gentry, and Hunter Stokes.
