Joe Catherine Cintgran

Ms. Joe Catherine Cintgran, 88, of Gunnison, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Cleveland with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Father Kent Bowlds, Father Tom Lalor, and Father Charles Bucciantini officiating. Interment will be in Shelby Cemetery.
Ms. Cintgran was born July 24, 1926, to Joseph and Mary Tuminello Cintgran. She graduated at Gunnison High school in 1945, and was a member and chair in many foundations such as National Polio Foundation, American Red Cross, U.S.O., American Cancer Society, American Heart Fund, plus the local emergency fund needs prompted her to organize the Gunnison Community Chest. She worked from 1959-1965, as the receptionist and dental assistant to Dr. F.C. Fant; worked as a dealer for Amway and received an award for outstanding achievement in sales as well as several prizes awarded for top sales of the month; worked as a sales representative for National Bankers Life Insurance and successfully completed the Sate Insurance requirements in Jackson; and worked as a teacher in child development at the Headstart Program in Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by brother, Tony Cintgran; two sisters, Mary Grace Cintgran and Annie Cintgran Cooper and her husband Bill; two nephews, Christopher Cintgran and David Cooper.
Ms. Cintgran is survived by her sister, Mary Louise Cintgran; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Cintgran; two nieces, Annette Cintgran Higgs and Teresa Cintgran; and two nephews, Bill Cooper and Bobby Cooper.
In Memory of Ms. Cintgran, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
