Joe Cole

Joe McClendon Cole, 79, of O'reilly, passed away January 25, 2014 at his home. Visitation will be 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home, Celebration of Life Services will immediately follow beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Brother Clarence Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Delta Heights Cemetery.
Joe was born on September 29, 1934 to Authur Chester Cole and Audie McClendon. He married Joy Garrett Cole on November 31, 1957. He served in the army and later worked at Baxter Health care as a supervisor for 35 years. He was a member of Boyle Baptist Church. Joe was a die-hard Rebel Fan, and loved all Ole Miss Sports.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Author and Audie Cole; siblings, Herman Cole, Bud Cole, Jean Cole, and Naomi Cole.
Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Joy Garrett Cole of O'Reilly; children, Diane Cole Kovarcik of Cleveland (kenny), Debra Cole of Nashville TN; special niece Amy Turberville of O'Reilly, grandchildren, Heather Kovarcik Miller (Marc), Joel Kovarcik; great-grandchild, Cole Cruse Miller; siblings, Everette Cole of Richton, A.C. Cole (Becky) of Ovette; Kenneth Cole of Vicksburg, Hilda Ainsworth (Bobby) of Ellisville, Frances Smith of Ovette, and Hellen Stacy of Missouri. Also, a special caregiver, Naomi.
Pallbearers will be, Joel Kovarcik, Kenny Kovarcik, Klint Fausnight, Marc Miller, Joey Weeks, Keith Pittman.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ole Miss Athletic Department, Oxford, MS or the Alzheimer's Association.
