Wesley Joseph (Joey) Smallwood, 52, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in Montgomery, Alabama. He was born November 5, 1957 in Ruleville, MS. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, JoAnn Miller and Hilton Smallwood. He is survived by a son, Wesley Smallwood of Meridian, MS, four sisters, Brenda Best (Loyce) of Freeport, TX, Teresa Dixon (Danny) of Clarksdale, MS, Debbie (Ray) Smith of Jacks Creek, TN and Anita Ann (William) Mitchell of Bethel Springs, TN. Nephews Sonny (Cassie) Best of Huffman, TX and Chuck (Angel) Best of Freeport, TX; Andy (Erica) Dixon of Clarksdale, MS, Jamie (Kathy) of Philadelphia, MS and John Goss of Smyrna, TN. Nieces Casey (Keith) White of Water Valley, Rachel (Reed) Shook of Clarksdale, Byschye (Mike) Ely of Glendora, MS, Kim (Gary) Tomaszewski of Bethel Springs, TN, April (Frankie) Gernck of Smyrna, TN, and Angel Mitchell of Bethel Springs, TN and aunts and uncles, Patsy (Buddy) Brooks and Charlene Hailey all of Waskom, TX, Vivian Robinson of Shreveport, LA, Samuel (Peggy) Smallwood of Charleston, MS, Martha Weeks Adams of Houston, TX, Billy Weeks of Sunflower, MS and Peggy (David) Gladden of Cleveland.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the home of David and Peggy Gladden in Cleveland from 10:30 until 12:30. Graveside services will be held at the Drew Cemetery in Drew, MS at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 3.
