John Drainie

John David Drainie, 66, of Beulah, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014, at his home. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. at Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Beulah Cemetery.
Mr. John David Drainie was born July 1, 1947, in Illinois, to John George Drainie Jr. and Analyn Walker Drainie. He taught school and coached sports for Rosedale School District for 35.5 years, was a lifeguard, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He loved tennis, sailing, and any kind of sports. He played baseball for Delta State and the army while in service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John George Drainie and Analyn Walker Drainie.
Mr. Drainie is survived by one sister, Jill Haven (Harold) of Senatobia, MS; a niece, Sonny Haven; nephew, J.W. Haven; and special companion, Jill Harper.
