Joseph Glenn Peeler Jr., a dedicated physician and loving family man, went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Shaw Cemetery. Bro. Park Neff will officiate. Honorary Pallbearers are James Paul Robinson, Dr. Culver Craddock, Dr. Bob Ragan, Dr. Frank Branch, Asa Atkinson, Hilton Tarver, and the deacons of Shaw Baptist Church. Special thanks to Bernice, Lucy, Gloria, and the nurses of Vital Caring.

Joe Glenn was born on February 12, 1941, to Joseph Glenn and Bernice Peeler Sr. in Shaw, Mississippi. Joe Glenn was a man who profoundly impacted the lives of those he served and cherished. For 33 years, Joe Glenn worked diligently at the Peeler Clinic, a practice owned by his father, Joseph Glenn, until his passing. He was committed to his patients and the community in which he served. His educational journey began at Shaw High School, after which he graduated from Mississippi College with a Bachelor of Science and earned his doctorate in Medicine from the Mississippi Medical Center. His professional accomplishments were matched by his love and devotion to his family.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Joe Glenn was deeply involved in his community, serving as a deacon at Shaw Baptist Church. He was one of the original contributors to the establishment of the Martin and Sue Train Museum in Cleveland, showcasing his commitment to preserving local history. An avid golfer, Joe Glenn found great pleasure in the sport and was recognized as an extremely skilled player.

Joe Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Glenn and Bernice Peeler Sr.; son, Joseph Glenn Peeler III; and sister, Martha Jane Peeler Owens.

Joe Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Natalie Marie Cordill Peeler, who remained his steadfast partner throughout their shared life. He was a proud father to his daughters, Dr. Alline Peeler Somlai and Dr. Sally Jessie Ganpot-Jesubatham and her husband Dr. Julian Jesubatham. The joy of his life extended to his granddaughter, Amelia Jesubatham, whose laughter and spirit brought him immense happiness. Further enriching his family circle, Joe Glenn is also survived by his nephew, Glenn Owens, and his wife Marianna.

As we remember Joseph Glenn Peeler Jr., we celebrate a well-lived life, marked by service, dedication, and love. His legacy will endure in the hearts of his family and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey.
