Josephine Enriquez

 Miss Josephine Enriquez age 76 of Pace, MS went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the Yalobusha Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS.

The family will receive visitors Monday, May 1, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held immediately following at the Ray Funeral Home Chapel. Father Raju Macherla of Clarksdale will officiate the service.

Josephine was born January 24, 1947, to Nicholas "Nick" and Maria Vargas Enriquez in Pace, MS. She was a lifelong Pace resident. She graduated from Rosedale High School. She was employed at Baxter Healthcare after graduation. She enjoyed nature, most especially bird watching and flowers. She was blessed with a green thumb and loved her gardens. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed experimenting with different foods and flavors. Josephine loved many genres of music but most especially music by Elvis Presley. 

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents Nick and Maria Vargas Enriquez, her brothers Joe Enriquez, Nick Enriquez, Jr., Pete Enriquez and sisters, Alice E. Smith and Mary Helen E. Ferri. She is survived by her brother Robert Enriquez of Greenville, MS, sisters Olivia Lara (Dan), of Cleveland, MS, Victoria McKnight (Roy) of Ackerman, MS, Dora Hobdy (Greg) of Hattiesburg, MS, Martha Enriquez of Grenada, MS, Cecilia Lucio (Mike) of Grenada, MS, Sister-in-law's Sarah Lara Enriquez of Brandon, MS and Mary Soto Enriquez of Collierville, TN. She is also survived by 26 loving nieces and nephews.

Memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choosing.
