Mrs. Josephine Elizabeth Sandroni, 86, of Shaw, MS, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013, at North Sunflower Medical Center. A Holy Rosary will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013, at St Francis of Assisi in Shaw. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013, at St Francis of Assisi in Shaw with Father Tom Mullally officiating. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery.
Mrs. Sandroni was born in Longswitch, MS on December 12, 1927, to John Rossetti & Eva Giompoletti Rosseti. On September 6, 1947, she married Gay Joseph Sandroni. Mrs. Sandroni worked for 38 years as a quality control specialist for Color Tile. She was a member of the St Francis of Assisi Church in Shaw, and the Lady Altar Society; she also loved cooking 24/7 and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gay Joseph Sandroni; parents, John & Eva Rossetti; sister, Martha Cocilova; and brother, Fred Rossetti.
Mrs. Sandroni is survived by daughter, Peggy Sandroni of Huntsville, AL; sons, Glenn Sandroni of Clinton, MS and Steve Sandroni of Olive Branch, MS and St. Louis, MO; sisters, Annie Mae Bryk of South Toms River, NJ and Perla Espinosa of Coconut Creek, FL; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Fred Reginelli, Lawrence Reginelli, Rodney Espinosa, Stan Sandroni, Bert Mann, and Lucas Sandroni.
