Juanita Grace Holder, 97, of Cleveland passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at her home in Cleveland, MS. Visitation will be 1:00- 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 at Ray Funeral Home with the Celebration of Life Services immediately following beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Jimmy Breland officiating. Interment will be in Shelby Cemetery.
Mrs. Holder was born on November 11, 1915 to Henry Elmer "Bud" Long and Allie Gertrude Hill. She married Thomas Clayton Holder in April of 1933. She dedicated her life to being the homemaker of the family. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing bridge, cross stitching and quilting. She was a devoted Christian and served the Baptist Faith all her life, she was a member of First Belleview Baptist Church of Shelby and also New Liberty Baptist Church in Blytheville, AR. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and spent many summers with them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, H.E. "Bud" Long and Gertrude Hill Long; husband, Clayton Holder; daughter, Trudy Juanita Holder Erwin; grandchildren, Laura Lynn Fuller, Melanie Ann Fuller, and Thomas Clark Erwin; brothers, Durwood Long, and Henry Long; sisters, Frances Long, and Mary Long Hicks,
Mrs. Holder is survived by her son, Thomas Holder; daughter, Patricia Ann Holder Fuller (Charles); grandchildren, Janet Beth Fuller, Charles Clayton Erwin (Jennifer), and William Clarke Erwin (Nicole); and great-grandsons, Clayton Wesley Erwin, and Parker Thomas Erwin.
In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to Shelby Cemetery, St. Jude Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
