Mrs. Juanita McArthur Hutchison, 92, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, 21, 2017, at her niece's home in Holcomb, MS. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2017, at North Cleveland Cemetery with Rev. Milton Burd officiating.
Mrs. Hutchison was born in Cleveland, MS, on May 18, 1925, to Carl Luther McArthur and Alice Lola Williams McArthur. Shortly after graduating from Cleveland High school, on February 14, 1945, she married Charles Hutchison in Cleveland, MS. She worked for the telephone department and was on the board, and then she began working at Baxter's. She also worked and retired from Sunburst Bank, which is also once The Bank of Cleveland and now is Regions Bank. Mrs. Hutchison was a proud member of First Baptist Church for the majority of her 92 years, and was actively involved in her community as a member of the VFW, VFW Auxiliary, and the American Legion where she attended numerous National Conventions. She loved playing cards and games with her friends, and you could often find her playing Clink with Elsie Carol, Noel Wise, Linda Brackin, and Adel Swindol.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hutchison; son, Carl Mitchell Hutchison; brother, Billy McArthur; and sisters, Eularene Camp and Carlton Luthyra Camise.
Mrs. Hutchison is survived by her son, Charles Freddie Hutchison of Cleveland, MS; brother, Bobby McArthur (Martha) of Linn, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews in Mississippi and Alabama.
Pallbearers will be Fred Spain, Tommy Saunders, Bill Havens, Jimmy Reid, Bryant Reid, and Ben Wooten. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the VFW and American Legion.
In lieu of food and potted plants, the family requests donations made to First Baptist Church in Cleveland, MS.
