Katherine Hobart Adams

Katherine Nell Hobart Adams, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 17, 2021, where she was surrounded by her loving family at home in Cleveland, MS.
A Visitation will be held at the Calvary Episcopal Church in Cleveland, MS on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from 10-11 a.m. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11 a.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church. Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, MS. The church kindly requests those in attendance at the memorial service to wear a mask. Katherine was born to Charles Lawson Hobart, III (Chuck) and Love Coleman Hobart on December 13, 1985, in Greenville, MS. She attended the First United Methodist Church. She graduated from Washington School in 2004 and then went on to Mississippi State University where she pledged Kappa Delta Sorority. After her junior year, she left to pursue a nursing degree. She received her BSN from Delta State University and began her career in the emergency room at Delta Regional Medical Center and later at The Heart & Vascular Center in Greenville. After moving to Cleveland, she continued her nursing career at Bolivar Medical Center. She was a very passionate nurse and adored all of her patients. Katherine met the love of her life, Craig James Adams, October 8, 2009. They were head over heels in love from the first night. They were married on August 6, 2011. They welcomed a son, James Garland Adams in 2012 and then their daughter Katherine Love Adams (Kate) in 2014. After having children, Katherine stayed at home and centered her life around her family. After her cancer diagnosis in December 2016, Katherine touched many lives by her faith, strength, and positive outlook on life. Sweet Katherine never complained throughout her battle with cancer; she never wanted anyone to worry about her. Katherine had a contagious laugh and giggle that will never be forgotten. She was lovingly called "happy" as a little girl. Everyone that knew her loved her and always stated she was the kindest, most genuine person. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gathering and playing at the family farm in Rosedale, listening to live music, especially by her husband Craig, and cooking elaborate meals at home. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Katherine was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Dorothy Nell Freeman Hobart and Charles Lawson Hobart Jr. and maternal grandparents Marjorie Clower Coleman and Harry Raymond Coleman Sr. She is survived by her husband, son, daughter, parents, brother Lawson Hobart and sister Marlee Hobart Cain (Tripp), nephew Sellers and nieces Anna Love and Tatum Cain. She is also survived by her in-laws, Phillip and Mona Adams, sisters in-law Celia McHardy, Clare Moore (Blake), and Caitlin Adams, nephews Cody McHardy and Gus Moore, and nieces Sally McHardy and Ida Gray Moore. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dearly loved friends. The family would like to express their gratitude for caregivers, friends, and community members for their acts of service and prayers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Katherine Adams to her church, Calvary Episcopal Church in Cleveland, MS.
