Mr. Kenneth Aubrey "Butch" Prewitt, 69, of Cedar Park, TX, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015, at his home. Visitation will be 10:30 to 12:00 Friday, January 8, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home. Memorial Services will immediately follow beginning at 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Braswell officiating. Mr. Prewitt was born on October 3, 1946, to Aubrey McClain Prewitt and Ida Bell Griffin Prewitt. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a landfill manager and operated heavy equipment for 35 years. In his spare time, he loved to hunt and fish and later in life he enjoyed golf with family and friends. He was a giver; no one ever went without as long as he was around. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile and for always wanting to have fun and celebrate life to the fullest.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey McClain Prewitt and Ida Bell Prewitt; sister, Beverly Sue Prewitt. Mr. Prewitt is survived by his son, Rodney Bo Prewitt (Leigh Ann) of Cedar Park, TX; grandchildren, Owen Prewitt, Ella Prewitt, and Eli Prewitt all of Cedar Park, TX; brothers, Jimmy McClain Prewitt and William Donald Prewitt both of Cleveland, MS; sister, Susan Earlene Tart of Charleston, MS; and ex-wife, Martha Nell Prewitt of Grenada, MS. There will be a memorial reception from 1:00 to 3:30 at Morrison Chapel Baptist Church 196 Morrison Chapel Rd. Cleveland, MS. All family and friends are welcome to attend. There will be time to tell stories and remember the good times we shared with Butch Prewitt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
