Kenneth Millican, 83, of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at his home. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Burd, Rev. James Breland, and Rev. Brad Beckwith officiating. Interment will follow in North Cleveland Cemetery. Mr. Millican was born in Beulah, MS on July 25, 1932, to Ben Bolden Millican and Lola Beasley Millican. On July 3, 1957, he married, Margie Stone in Merigold, MS. He proudly served our country in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion and the Forty and Eight Club. He was an employee at Baxter Laboratory for 46 years, working as a solution mixer and sterilization tester. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cleveland where he served as a deacon, and was also on the first media crew devoting his time with camera and lights.
Mr. Millican enjoyed woodworking and he made anything from picture frames to ducks and roosters. He drove cars for many local dealerships, and made signs for churches, sports, Delta State and Baxter's. He was a jack of all trades. In his free time, he and his wife loved to travel and were known for traveling extensively. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Lola Millican; and brothers, Bennie E. Millican and Gerald W. Millican. Mr. Millican is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margie S. Millican of Cleveland, MS; daughter, Kimberly M. Brown (Scott) of Boyle; sons, Kenny Millican of Cleveland, Mitch Millican (Sheila) of Cleveland, and Mike Millican (Lora) of Guys, TN; grandchildren, Nicholas Brown, Mykenzi Brown, Allen Millican, Holly Claire Millican, Brandon Millican (Michelle), Tiffany Little (Joe), Tyler Ross, Laurie Ross, Madison Harris (Manuel), Monica Pence, and Kim Cole (Storm); great-grandchildren, Layne Harris, Raegan Beach, Marlee Pence, Alliyah Ross, Tanner Cole, Tycen Cole, Taylor Christensen, Talia Caswell, and Brianna Caswell; sister, Melba Wilson of Texas City, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Kenny Millican, Mike Millican, Mitch Millican, Dudley Tribble, Bo Brewer, Bruce Holder, Bobby Holder, and Gil Denley. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Barrett, Lee Burke, John Duraj, John Letchworth, Benn Walker, and Paul Warrington.
