Kenny Pate

Mr. Kenny Franklin Pate, Sr., 86, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at North Sunflower Medical Center. Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Cleveland with Brother Brad Beckwith, Doctor Macklyn Hubble and Brother Milton Byrd officiating. Interment will be in New Cleveland Cemetery.
Mr. Pate was born September 29, 1928, in Sunflower, MS to Lawrence Brady Pate and Allie James Pate. On January 1, 1956, he married Lyda Argusta Jolly. He loved his family and church dearly. He also enjoyed working in the yard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Brady and Allie James Pate; wife, Argusta Pate; siblings, L.B. Pate, William Pate and Mildred Warren.
He is survived by his son, Ken Pate (Nancy); grandchildren, Brady Pate (Ann Marie) and Justin Pate; great-grandson, Mabry Pate; and a sister Lillian Andrews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Barrett, Fred Roark, Jimmy Barrett, Harry Howarth, Jimmy Yeager, and John Abide.
