Visitation will be Monday, September 13,2021 from 1-2 at Ray Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service at 2PM at Ray Funeral Home with a Graveside following in the Lakeview Cemetery in Greenville, MS Larry was born on April 09, 1956, in Shaw, MS to L.B. Roncali & Vernell Cockrell Roncali. He grew up in Shaw, MS where he attended Shaw Highschool, he met the love of his life Mary Frances "Beany" Utz while attending summer school. On his birthday he married Beany and joined the United States Armed Forces on the same day where he served several years until reenlisting in the National Guard. He served in the military for over twenty-two years. Just one year and nine days after being married his first child was born Larry Daniel Roncali. The number nine runs deep in this family all the way down to the grandchildren. Larry started working at Greenville Mills in 1974 and worked there for over 32 years until they closed the doors in 2006. He went on to work at A&A for many years doing what he loved best helping people until retiring. Larry was a die-hard Dale Earnhardt fan, and the day Dale passed away it was one of the worst days of his life. If you knew Larry, you knew his place of peace was at the racetrack. If you wanted to find Larry on the weekends, he would be sitting in the back of his truck surrounded by his family and his best friends waiting to see who would cross the checker flag first. When the fall season rolled around his other love kicked in Ole Miss Football, and hunting. Both traditions ran deep in their family roots. Larry and his brothers for as long as they could remember every year would attend the Ole Miss & LSU Football game. Pete recalled, during the Egg bowl every year they would be at hunting camp and would be huddled around a radio somewhere cheering on those rebels with a hotty toddy gosh almighty. From hand grabbing to fishing all weekend many memories will forever be ingrained with the Roncali DNA in those woods, and in their hearts. Larry was a selfless, humble man who would do anything for anyone in need. He had a great passion for serving and developed a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior. It became a daily part of his life to dive deep into his word every day. His son Daniel said, "a doctor was attempting to witness to him before a surgery, and they reassured the doctor quickly that Larry and Jesus had been friends for quite some time. Most of all Larry loved his wife with all his heart until her passing and stayed faithful to her until his time. His greatest treasures in life were his children and grandchildren who he cherished with all his heart. Even though Larry's song may have ended his melody of his legacy will forever linger on throughout his family tree. Larry is preceded in passing by his parents, his beloved wife, Mary "Beany" Roncali, his brothers, Buddy & Sammy Roncali, sisters, Winnie McHaney, and Marie Nichols, Sally Weeks, and daughter in law Erin Roncali.
