Mrs. Laura Waudine Rigby Fryery, 84, of Benoit, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Allegiance Hospital in Greenville, MS. Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Haney and Pastor Phyllis Milan officiating. Interment will be at North Union Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS. Mrs. Fryery was born on October 30, 1931, in Kosciusko, MS, to Thomas Irby Rigby and Jesse Pearl Ramage Rigby. She married Felton Leon Fryery on June 12, 1949, in Holmes County. She loved taking care of people. Due to this passion she worked as a caregiver for 40 plus years with Home Health. She was a devoted member of Benoit Union Church, and she looked forward to going every chance she got.
Mrs. Fryery, also known as Mama Dean, loved to cook. She was known for her banana pudding and her chicken and dumplins. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her world, and she also enjoyed taking trips with her aunts and cousins. She was a very loving, giving person who always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude. All who knew her loved her, and she will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Irby Rigby and Jesse Pearl Ramage Rigby; husband, Felton Leon Fryery; sons, Shon O'Neil Fryery and Mark Todd Fryery . Mrs. Fryery is survived by her son, Michael Fryery (Aroura) of Benoit; daughter, Elizabeth Diane Fryery Komara of Jensen Beach, FL; grandchildren, Shon O'Neil Fryery, II of Benoit, Daman Komara of Jensen Beach, FL, Adam Fryery of Cleveland, Holly Fryery Haney (Thomas) of Cleveland, Jesse Fryery of Valencia, CA, Joshua Fraize of Cleveland, Taylor Komara of Jenson Beach, FL, and Edwin Todd Fryery of Benoit; great-grandchildren, Ryan Haney, Adam Haney, and Tyler Haney. Pallbearers will be Neil Fryery, Daman Komara, Adam Fryery, Jesse Fryery, Josh Fraize, and Thomas Haney. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Baldwin and Tony Skellion.
