Mrs. Leisha Vaughn Carter was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 13, 2020. A visitation honoring her life will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 10-11am at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 11am at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. A Graveside service will follow at North Cleveland Cemetery in Cleveland, MS.
Mrs. Leisha Carter was born on December 14, 1961 in Greenville, MS to the late Robert Vaughn & Edna Mitchell Vaughn. She grew up in Greenville where she attended and graduated from Greenville High School. She married the love her life Paul Carter in 1981. Mrs. Leisha loved the outdoors, it was where her greatest memories were made. Leisha and Paul would take their son Justin camping as well as many trips to the beach. She loved the sun. Where most people would be hiding under the tent on the sand she would soak it up. Most of all Leisha was a devoted, loving wife, mother, and a great friend.
She is preceded in passing by her parents, Robert & Edna Vaughn, her brother, Mike Vaughn.
Leisha is survived her loving husband of 39 years, Paul S. Carter of Cleveland, MS., her son Justin Carter of Gore Springs, MS., two grandchildren, Jayden & Kenseth Carter., And a host of loving friends.
Pastor. Robert Haney will officiate the service.
