Linda Gail Roncali

Mrs. Linda Gail Roncali, 65, of Shaw, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Howell officiating. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery. Mrs. Roncali was born in Minter City on February 1, 1950, to Herman Gilsie Banks and Opal Huffman Banks. On January 13, 1967, she married Newton Franklin "Sonny" Roncali at Mt. Zion Church of God in Sunflower County. She was a member of God's Harvest Church of God in Indianola. She loved her church family dearly and served as the church clerk for many years. She greatly enjoyed crocheting, Facebook, and QVC. She was an excellent cook. Most importantly, she loved God and her family with all her heart. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman Gilsie Banks and Opal Huffman Banks; daughter, Anita Gail Roncali; brothers, Alex Banks and Herman Banks; and sisters, Annette Warner and Barbara Counts. Mrs. Roncali is survived by her husband of 49 years, Newton "Sonny" Roncali of Shaw; son, Desi Roncalli (Wendy) of Saltillo; daughter, Cisley Craft (Jason) of Independence, MS; grandchildren, Karli-Gail Pirtle of Independence, and Madison, Mallori, and Matthew Roncalli all of Saltillo; brothers, Ricky Banks (Ann) of Greenwood and Danny banks (Blinda) of Vaiden; sisters, Wanda Parsons (Floyd) of Leland, Glenda Whitlock of Leland, and Joy Hopkins (Jr. ) of Cleveland; and a host of nieces, nephews and other beloved family members. Pallbearers will be Tony banks, Chad Hopkins, Rob Banks, Daniel Roncali, Michael Bowling, and Greg Welch. Honorary pallbearers will be Leslie Roncali, Michael Nichols, and Frankie Roncali, Jr. In memory of Mrs. Roncali, the family requests that donations be made to The American Heart Association.
