Linda Ray

Linda Louise Ray, 66, of Merigold, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. John Frieson, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Southside Cemetery in Inverness, MS.
Mrs. Ray was born in Panama City, FL on August 17, 1947, to Delmer and Estelle Glass. She worked in a variety of professions such as nurse, seamstress, bus driver and teachers aid. She married Charles Ray on April 16, 1985, in New Mexico. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Leland. Mrs. Ray loved to cook, garden, crochet, sew, watch the news, and loved playing with her mancubs.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Delmer and Estelle Glass.
She is survived by her husband, Charles "Butch" Ray of Merigold; daughter, Sonya Storey (Sam) of Cleveland; sons, Chris Glass of Panama City, FL, Johnnie Armstrong (Donna) of Norfolk, VA, Jeffrey Armstrong (Jessica) of West Allis, WI, and Allen Hood (Tabitha) of Lumberton, MS; sisters, Gail Glass of Southport, FL, and Ann Bolinger of Panama City, FL; brothers, Ricky Glass of Southport, FL, and Jimmy Glass of Bristol, FL; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Clay McKee, Jr., Jeff Hadley, Aaron Burt, Josh Burt, Arthur Burt and Phillip Eubanks.
