Ms. Linda Sue Cobb, 66, of Merigold, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015, at her home. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home. Interment will be in Drew Cemetery. Ms. Cobb was born in Drew, MS on February 28, 1949, to James Wilson Cobb and Iva Lucille Willingham Cobb. She was a passionate and dedicated teacher for twenty years in Drew before continuing her teaching career at Presbyterian Day School until her retirement. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, cooking and family get togethers. She was a very talented person who loved her church and church family at Mid-South Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Wilson Cobb and Iva Lucille Willingham Cobb; and brother, David Clinton Cobb. Ms. Cobb is survived by her brothers, Danny Cobb (Patsy) of Drew and Darrell Cobb of Drew; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends she dearly cherished. Pallbearers will be Brad Cobb, Dylan Cobb, Jay Cobb, David Cobb, Ricky Stone, Tyler Peeples, Matthew Woods, and Mike Edmonds. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeremy Cobb. In memory of Ms. Cobb, donation may be made to support Breast Cancer Awareness.
