Mrs. Loraine Boyles Nassar, 80, of Cleveland, MS, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville. Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Gentry officiating. Interment will be at Harmony Cemetery in Cruger, MS.
Loraine was born on April 6, 1938, to William and Bessie Boyles in Carroll County, MS. She worked as a bookkeeper in accounting for many years before retiring. She loved to clean her house, always keeping it spotless. When she wasn't cleaning she enjoyed shopping especially for her grandchildren who were her whole world. Loraine and Betty graduated in Minter City High School in 1956, where they were both on the cheerleading squad. She enjoyed dancing to music around the house. Loraine liked visiting with her friends at the Beauty Nest.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Bessie Boyles; and brothers, William Elmer Boyles, Jr. and Charles Boyles.
Loraine is survived by her daughters, Pamela K. Bassie (Ernie Manley) of Memphis, TN and Angela McDonald Howell (Allan) of Cleveland; grandchildren, Michael Shane Howell (Courtney) of Cleveland, John Allan Howell (Ashley) of Lyon, MS, and Lauren Paige Bassie (James Burlett) of Memphis, TN; great grandchildren, Lucas Ryan Howell, Madison Kaylynn Bassie, Jacob Bryson Burlett, and one little boy on the way; siblings, Betty Jewel Jones of Pope, MS, Margurite Noah (Carl) of Vaiden, MS, and Nancy Lee Kyle (Joel) of Minter City, MS; special companion, Jack Curtis of Cleveland, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
