Margaret Busby Sumrall age 86, went to be with the lord on July 17 2023. Visitation will be at Ray Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following on Friday 21, 2023. Internment will be at Delta Heights in Cleveland Mississippi.
She was born on November 29, 1936 in Iuka, Mississippi. Margaret was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. Her boundless energy and passion for life were evident in everything she did. Throughout her journey, Margaret made lifelong connections and formed deep friendships with a wide circle of family and friends. Before retiring, she worked for the postal service and interior designing. She will forever be remembered for her vibrant personality, her love for travel, gardening, and volunteering in mission work in Mexico, and volunteering at the Indywood assisted living.
Margaret was the beloved wife of William Sumrall until his passing. Together they shared many beautiful memories and built a loving family. Margaret leaves behind Her siblings: Buddy Busby, John Busby (Louise), Teresa Reynolds (Jimmy), and Sandra Steed (James) also her loving children: Sylvia L Pope, Michael (Brenda) Pope, and David Pope. Her presence will also be deeply missed by her adoring grandchildren: John Michael Pope, Jason Paul Pope, Michael Corey Fletcher, Jaret Wesley King (Mallory), Jeremy Will King (Emily), Deanna Pope Smith (Zach), Bradley Smith (Samantha); as well as her great-grandchildren: Ann Hollingsworth, Lillie Hollingsworth, Christian Fletcher, Caylee Fletcher, Harper Fletcher, Ryder King, Riggs King, Eli Smith, Marly Smith, Tristain Smith and Owen Smith.
She is predeceased by her parents, James Woodrow Busby and Lillian Adell Busby; her loving husband, William Sumrall; son, Richard Pope; and daughter in law Ginger Pope.
May Margaret Busby Sumrall rest in eternal peace, knowing that her presence in our lives has enriched us beyond measure. She will forever be remembered as a shining example of love, generosity, and unwavering kindness.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Shriners Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
