Mrs. Margaret Wilson Fell Bradshaw Stevenson, 75, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015, at Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday June 1, 2015, at Merigold United Methodist Church with Rev. Will Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow in New Cleveland Cemetery. Mrs. Stevenson was born on August 8, 1939, to Ronald Culberson Bradshaw and Jesse McDonald Bradshaw in Cabuslang, Scotland. On November 28, 1958, she married David Stevenson in Cabuslang, Scotland, and they had three daughters together. Mrs. Stevenson owned and operated her own preschool in Scotland before moving to New York in 1969. In New York, she worked at the Head Start Center. Deciding to leave New York, they then moved to Virginia where she was head of the Neighborhood Welcome Wagon, a hospital volunteer, and was active in the High School Band Booster. In 1978, they moved to the Delta where she helped start the Cleveland High School Band Booster. She worked at the S&H Green Stamp Store for many years before becoming a travel agent with International Tours from 1984 to 1994. She was also involved in Bolivar County Community Action as well as being a hospital volunteer. She was a member of Merigold United Methodist Church and loved the congregation, especially when they would get together for the 1st Wednesday gatherings. She enjoyed entertaining and could be described as an all around lady. Mrs. Stevenson was a talented knitter and was known for making baby clothes. Most importantly she loved and adored her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ronald Culberson Bradshaw and Jesse McDonald Bradshaw; spouse, David Stevenson; brother, Ronnie; and sisters, Helen, Jesse, and Nessie. Mrs. Stevenson is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Ann Belenchia (Michael) of Cleveland, Margaret Louise Meyer (Edgar) of Cleveland; and Karen Mary Girling (Edward) of Carthage; grandchildren, Megan Belenchia Walton (Clint) of Lyon, Jessica Ferracci Jarvis (Chris) of Cleveland, David Harris Meyer of Cleveland, and Anna Louise Girling of Carthage; sisters, Ann McDonald of Glasgow, Scotland and Carol McCracken of Glasgow, Scotland; and a host of nieces and nephews.
