MARGIE LOUISE NEWTON

Margie Louise Newton, a beloved homemaker and dedicated employee at Baxter Healthcare, passed away on December 30,2023, in her hometown of Gunnison, Mississippi.

Visitation for Margie Newton will be held on February 28, 2024 from 1pm to 2pm at Gunnison Baptist Church in Gunnison, MS with a Memorial Service to follow from 2pm to 3pm at the same location.

She was born on December 17, 1949, in Gunnison to Spencer Hayward Yarbrough and Nancy Sue Pierce.

She had many passions that brought her joy, including fishing, gardening, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Margie's warm smile and kind heart will be greatly missed by everyone she touched.

Margie's involvement in the Gunnison Baptist Church was one of her proudest accomplishments. Her faith played an integral role in shaping her character and guiding her throughout life.

She is predeceased by her parents, Spencer Hayward Yarbrough and Nancy Sue Pierce; her loving husband of forty-eight years, Billy Lloyd Newton; son, Spencer Lloyd Newton; brother, Spencer Lee Yarbrough.

Margie is survived by her adoring children; Michael Lloyd Newton (Brian), Keri Newton, Sherry Douglas (Gary), and Mitzi Wyatt;  grandchildren, James Wyatt (Loralei), Courtney Wyatt-Duhan (Brittan), Aaron Johnson (Rose); great-grandchildren: AJ Johnson, Sheldon Johnson, Everleigh Wyatt, Oakleigh Wyatt, Archer Matthews, Elliot Duhan, Lucy Duhon, Ruby Duhon; siblings: Katie Ann Harper, Angela Cordelia Aderholt (Audie), Deborah Ann Pearson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Margie Louise Newton's unwavering love and devotion to her family and friends forever enriched their lives with joy and happiness. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
