Marshall Leonard

Marshall E. Leonard Jr., age 66, was taken to his eternal heavenly home from early onset dementia, on Sunday, September 13, 2020 in Cleveland, MS. A memorial service commemorating the Savior's blessings for Marshall will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Tupelo, MS at 11:00 a.m. Internment will be at Graceland Cemetary, Valparaiso, this Fall. Marshall was born to Dolores and Marshall E. Leonard on July 10, 1954 in Waukegan, IL. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, McHenry, IL. Marshall graduated from Northland College, Ashland, WI with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Marshall enjoyed music, bible study, caring for animals and water sports. His faith in the Lord was his rock and salvation. A gift Marshall shared was to reach out to those in need. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall E. Leonard Sr. and Dolores Buelow Leonard; aunts and uncles. Marshall is survived by his sister, Deborah Leonard (Bill), Ironwood, MI, an aunt and cousins. A heartfelt appreciation to those who cared for Marshall during his most recent years; Oak Grove Retirement Home, Holy Trinity Congregation, Pastor MacKain, Terry Scheske, friends and family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Marshall's memory to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1305 Lawhon Drive, Tupelo, MS 38804.
