Martha Cocilova

Martha R. Cocilova, 88, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Brandon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brandon, MS. Visitation is at St. Francis-Assissi Catholic Church in Shaw, MS, Monday 8:00 A.M. - 10:30 A.M. prior a Memorial Mass at the same location at 11:00 A.M. with interment to follow at Shaw Cemetery.
Martha was born in Longshot, MS and spent most of her life in Shaw. She worked at Color Tile Ceramic Manufacturing Inc. in Cleveland, MS (now closed) and also Baxter Travenol Laboratories (now Baxter International) also in Cleveland before retiring. She loved gardening, cooking, and entertaining visitors. Martha was a long time parishioner of St. Francis-Assissi Catholic Church in Shaw. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Cocilova; brother, Fred Rossetti; and son, Jerry Cocilova. She is survived by her sisters, Josephine Sandroni, Perla Espinosa, and Annie May Byrk; and daughters, Evelyn Purkey and Nancy Cannon. She has 3 grandchildren John Cannon, Anthony Purkey, and Lynn Roby, and 2 great grandchildren, Chelsea Roby and Hunter Roby.
