Marvin Herbert Walker

Marvin Herbert Walker, 80, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at his home in Cleveland. Visitation will be 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at North Cleveland Cemetery. Rev. Robert Haney officiating.
Marvin was born November 13, 1938/, to Marvin Gaston and Ardaye Davis Walker in Litton, MS. He proudly served his country in the Air Force afterword worked at Baxters for many years until he retired due to health issues. On February 14, 1975, he married Karen E. Williams in Cleveland, MS. Marvin loved to watch Nascar and football, he was a big Alabama Crimson Tide Fan. He enjoyed cooking and was also a very good cook. Marvin loved to spend time at Benoit Outing Club Crappie fishing with his buddies James Allen Herbison and Edmond Yung. He always had a smile on his face.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Ardayae Walker; daughter, Lori Renee Walker; wife, Karen E. Walker; and brother, Roger D. Walker.
Marvin is survived by his sons, Doug Walker (Barbara) of Hueytown, AL and Tim Burchfield (Jennifer) of Cleveland, MS; daughters, Pam Horn of Cleveland, MS Angela Walker; grandchildren, Cassidy Walker, Lex Horn, Neysa Kirkland, and William Worthington; brothers, Robert Walker (Peggie), David Walker (Gloria), Timmy Walker (Judy), and Billy Walker (Sandra); and sisters, Evelyn Touchstone (Ray) and Diane Walker Hodges (Jerry).
Pallbearers will be Billy Walker, Timmy Walker, William Worthington, Lex Horn, Doug Walker, James Allen Herbison and Tim Burchfield. Honorary pallbearers Edmond Yung.
