Mary Feretti Weaver
Mrs. Mary Ferretti Weaver, 93, of Shaw, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Valor Manor in Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw with Father Tom Mullally officiating. Interment will follow in Shaw Cemetery.
Mrs. Weaver was born in Shaw, MS, on March 28, 1924, to Giovani Ferretti and Pasqualena Mazzoli Ferretti. She graduated from Shaw high school then moved to Memphis where she met her husband, Lester Lee Weaver, II and they married in 1946. She worked as a secretary for numerous years at Barrow Agee Laboratories while also driving a school bus in her spare time. After her husband's passing in 1951, she moved back to Shaw to take care of her father and raise her children. After her children were grown, she worked as an Accountant at Baxter Laboratories for twenty years and retired in 1988.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Giovani and Pasquelena Ferretti; husband, Lester Lee Weaver, II; daughters, Vickie Weaver and Kathy Escarre; six sisters, Lena Bernardi, Albina Canico, Valley Giompoletti, Louise Belenchia, Rosa Faccini, and Angelina Kilgore; and one brother, Tullio Ferretti.
Mrs. Weaver is survived by her son, Lee Weaver (Mary-Anne) of Port Orange, FL; grandchildren, Marilee Hines (Drew) of Charlotte, NC, Lester Weaver of West Palm Beach, FL, and Luke Weaver of St. Petersburg, FL; great-grandson, Weslee Hines of Charlotte, NC; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
