Mrs. Mary Nell Balducci, , of Shelby, died Monday, February 9, 2015, at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of life services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Diane Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in Shelby Cemetery. Mary Nell was born on June 18, 1920 to Bennie and Eselle Hall in Coffeeville, MS. She graduated from Coffeeville High School and followed up with classes in typing and shorthand. On May 6, 1957, she married her best friend, Joseph Balducci. They traveled extensively during their almost forty years together. She loved the Lord, her family, her friends, and her church family at Fuirst United Methodist Church of Shelby. She was active in all civic organizations, serving as past presidents of The United Methodist Woman's Club, Shelby Woman's Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Chairman of the American Heart Association, Chairman of the Kidney Foundation, and the Bolivar County Cancer Fund. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and she founded The 50-plus Club of Shelby and served there also as president. Mrs Balducci was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Joseph Balducci; parents, Bennie and Estelle Hall; her twin sister, Katie Lynn Hall; and three other sisters, Anna Cresthwait (Donald) of Brookhaven, Nora Lee Nelson (Bill) of Quitman, and Inez Ray (Buddy) of Brookhaven; and one brother, Wilbourn Russell "Buddy" Hal of West Monroe, LA. She is survived by several nieces and nephews; and a special niece and nephew, Patsy and Sam Mangialardi of Shelby. Pallbearers will be Sam Mangialardi, Michael Mangialardi, Sam A. Mangialardi, Terry Gallion, Bennie Hall, and John Liles.
