Mary Pauline 'Polly' Marquis
Mary Pauline (Polly) Tweedle Marquis, 78, of Rosedale, MS passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at First Baptist Church, Rosedale, MS. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery.
Mrs. Marquis was born in Gunnison on January 21, 1937, to R.W. Tweedle and Dorothy Marie Kinkade Tweedle. She was married to the late Mr. Robert Marquis of Rosedale in 1959. She worked in the office at Ampco for 40 plus years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rosedale. She is preceded in death by her parents, R.W. and Dorothy Tweedle, sister, Royce Marie McLemore, and nephew Roy McLemore. Mrs. Marquis is survived by her son, Randy Marquis of Rosedale; Daughter In-Law; Claire Marquis of Greenville, Grandchildren: Nicole Marquis of Rosedale, Tammy Marquis of Cleveland, and Will Marquis (Renee) of Cleveland; Great grandchildren, Noah Marquis, Skyler Kinkade Williams, and Grayson Williams of Rosedale, Finley Marquis of Cleveland, Bella Marquis and Zane Harris of Cleveland. Sister; Dot Thompson of Fredericksburg, VA; and special nieces and nephews; Dewayne (Vera) Tweedle of Gatlinburg, TN, Allison (Amy) McLemore of Cleveland. Great Niece; Michelle Tweedle McCarter of Gatlinburg, TN; Great Nephews; Wade (Nikki) McLemore, and Austin McLemore of Cleveland.
Pallbearers will be Norman Chenault, Austin McLemore, J.M. Tweedle, Michael Phillips, Carey Estes, and Lynn Farmer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Allison McLemore, Dewayne Tweedle, George Mac Tweedle, Ray Travis, George Scott, and John Tweedle.
