Mary Lee Luckett Peckenpaugh, age 86, of Cleveland, Mississippi, died May 6, 2013, at Indywood Estates in Cleveland. Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Immanuel Baptist Church with memorial services following beginning at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Immanuel Baptist Church. She requested donation of her body to University Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.
She was born May 21, 1926, in Dyersburg, Tennessee to Calvin Preston Luckett and Mary Gladys Bunnell Luckett. She married Bill Peckenpaugh in February 1945, and the family moved to Cleveland, Mississippi in 1950.
Mrs. Peckenpaugh had been an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Cleveland for fifty-plus years; places of service include nursery Department, Choir, recording clerk, and the church media-library.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years; her parents; one sister, Ruth Ann Fickle; and two brothers, Jerry Preston "Bud" Luckett and Wallace Newton Luckett.
Survivors are a daughter and her husband, Carolyn and Richard Booker of Cleveland; son and his wife, Jimmy and Lee Ann Peckenpaugh of New Orleans; one granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Peckenpaugh of New Orleans; one grandson and his wife, Lee and Emily Havens of Cleveland; three great-grandchildren, William Allen, Elizabeth Gray, and Anna Patrick Havens of Cleveland; one sister and her husband, Dorothy and Pete Ousley of Winter Haven, Florida; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends that were so dear to her.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, Cleveland, or the charity of
choice.
